Buhari meets with ministers over 2016 budget (photos)

President Muhammadu Buhari is currently presiding over a meeting of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) where the 2016 budget is the subject of discussion.

According to Daily Post, a major decision will be taken in today’s meeting regarding the budget controversy.

It was gathered that the meeting which kick-started few minutes before 11am is ongoing in the Council Chambers of the Villa.

Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo; Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal; and most ministers are in attendance.

On Tuesday, April 19, President Buhari received Osinbajo and minister of budget and national planning, Senator Udo Udo Udoma at the state house over the now controversial 2016 budget.

Earlier in the week, new details revealed that key developmental projects were distorted by the Senate from the budget.
