PDP can rescue Nigeria from current economic quagmire, says senator Nwaka

Senator Emma Nwaka

The Chairman of the Abia State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Emma Nwaka, has said that with the failings of the ruling party, it was becoming apparent that PDP was the only party that could rescue the country from the current economic hardship.

Nwaka stated this yesterday in Umuahia, during a session to announce ward, state and national congresses of the party.

He said that the ward congress would hold on April 23; local council congress, April 30; state congress, May 14, and the party’s National Convention will hold on May 21 in Port Harcourt, Rivers state.

He urged concerned members to take the congresses seriously because it was from them that the party’s leaders for the next four years would emerge, adding, “We encourage the emergence of consensus candidates, but would avoid a situation where one person or even just a few will arrogate to themselves ‘the right ‘ to assemble the executive committee of our party at any level.”
