Sen. Abdul-Aziz Murtala Nyako, APC member representing Adamawa central senatorial district, on Friday, April 22, offered Mr. Salihu Usman, the best graduating student of the department of chemical engineering at Federal University of Technology Yola ,
He offered the student financial gratification to study post graduate degree (MSC) in pipeline engineering at Newcastle University, United Kingdom.
Performing the ceremony in Abuja, Nyako said the offer was to encourage other students as well in hardwork, adding that the course is a professional one that need to encourage student from his constituency to study.
“I need to encourage students from my constituency to study such professional courses,” he stated.
He also said that Salihu graduated with an accumulative grade point average of 4.43 which made him the best graduating student from the university and as well informed his decision to offer him financial assistance to study pipe line engineering in the United Kingdom.
Responding, Mr. Usman said he was moved by the offer and promised to do his best to performed well at the U.K.
According to him, he just rounded up his compulsory National Youth Service Corp (NYSC), and was offered admission to study pipeline engineering at the Newcastle University in United Kingdom.
