A heartbroken French man was discovered lying naked in the middle of the road on Friday night in Prachuap Khiri Khan city, Thailand.

The 62-year-old man was found just on Sala Cheep Road in front of a Guesthouse where he had been staying since July 14. His wailing could be heard all along the road at about 5:30pm.

Notified by some good Samaritans, police came and helped take the man, whose name was withheld, back to his room. At that point he decided to lock himself inside, but after a chat, officers were able to persuade him to come out again.

Nollywood actor Kanayo Onyekwere, popularly known as Kanayo O. Kanayo, is celebrating his daughter Uloaku Valerie's graduation from Rainbow College - a secondary school in Nigeria. He shared some photos via one of his social media accounts and his caption read, "My daughter, Valerie's graduation from college! Proud dad!"

Football legend Pele took to his Twitter account on Saturday to announce he will be visiting Nigeria this August, saying it's been nearly 50 years since he last visited the country .

Photos: Two notorious elephant poachers arrested in Yankari Game Reserve

Rangers at the Yankari National Park - a large wildlife park located in Bauchi State, have arrested two notorious elephant poachers; Danladi Garba and Umaru Buba (Both pictured). During the arrest, one of the poachers engaged the rangers in a gun battle but it was resisted.

While none of the rangers were injured, one of the poachers got wounded in one of his legs and is reportedly receiving treatment. They have since been handed over to the police.

Two years after the death of renowned NAFDAC reformer and former Minister of Information & Communications, Dora Akunyili, her husband Dr Chike Akunyili found two unpacked boxes of awards in her inner bedroom. According to the person who shared the photos, the awards are 110 in number. They have now been displayed like her other 820 awards. Impressive!

President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Pinnick on Friday wasn't at the burial ceremony of late super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi in Delta state and Twitter users blasted him, calling for his resignation, with some saying he didn't attend because of his feud with Keshi.

The Nigerian Military has continued the aerial bombardment of Fatola, the hideout of militants and pipeline vandals in the Arepo area of Ogun State. According to online reports, the air raid happened in yesterday afternoon and was said to have lasted 30 minutes. A fighter jet fired missiles at the Iroko creeks, leaving no fewer than 100 suspected militants dead and their camps/shanties destroyed.

Residents were caught unawares and had to run from their homes to avoid being hit during the bombardment.

A well known Lebanese Mathematics Teacher, Moin Amsuri, who teaches at the Nagarta College in Sokoto state was murdered by unknown gunmen at his residence in Yauri, Sokoto on Thurs. July 28.

The state police spokesperson, El-Mustapha Sani, who confirmed the incident, said the gunmen are suspected to be armed robbers as the deceased Toyota car has been missing since the incident.

The Federal Government has banned the purchase and distribution of conference bags, T-shirts and other souvenirs at events such as Conferences and Seminars funded by Federal Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs). This is contained in a statement made available to newsmen in Abuja by the Director of Information, Federal Ministry of Finance, Salisu Dambatta today July 31st.

Sokoto State Government said it has discovered no fewer than 12,915 ghost workers whose names were added into the payroll of the 23 Local Governments Areas of the state.

Justice Abang of the Federal High Court Abuja has stopped the planned National Convention of PDP slated for August 17th in Port Harcourt, Rivers state. Delivering judgement in a suit filed by Ali Modu Sheriff, Justice Abang ruled that the May 21st convention of the party that sacked Sheriff from office was illegal and that the caretaker committee raised by the party during that convention was unlawfully constituted.

Obanikoro's aide narrates how he transported N1.2bn to Fayose in Ekiti state

An aide of former Minister for State for Defence, Musiliu Obanikoro, Lt. Commander A. O. Adewale, yesterday told EFCC operatives how on the orders of Obanikoro, himself and other staff members of Obanikoro, transported N1.2 billion to Ekiti state governor, Ayo Fayose in 2014.

The N1.2 billion is part of the N4.745 billion allegedly paid into Obanikoro’s company, Sylva Mcnamara by the Office of the former National Security Adviser (NSA), Sambo Dasuki.

Military action won’t stop Niger Delta militancy – Dickson

Bayelsa State governor, Seriake Dickson, yesterday said deployment of military to Niger Delta would not quell militancy in the region. Seriake said this while speaking with State House correspondents after his meeting with President Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Former PDP Chairman, Ali Modu Sheriff, has approached the Federal High Court Abuja to apply for an order of interlocutory injunction restraining PDP National Caretaker committee and INEC from holding the party's National Convention in Port Harcourt, Rivers state on August 17th.

Sheriff, in the suit, is also seeking the court to grant an ancillary order compelling the police to enforce the interlocutory injunction if granted.

Former Sokoto state Governor, Attahiru Bafarawa reportedly promised to give 30 million naira to sympathize with traders who lost their shops, goods and properties in the serious fire outbreak in Sokoto's old market on July 24. According to Hausa media outlet, Rariya, he has fulfilled that promise. Sokoto state PDP Chairman, Ibrahim Milgoma, represented the former governor and disbursed the cash. Bauchi state governor, Abubakar Mohammed, has accused his predecessor, Isa Yuguda, of withdrawing N1 billion in one day from one of the state's account with multiples of N10 million cheques. Speaking at a news conference in Abuja yesterday July 27th, Mohammed said this was discovered by a probe panel he constituted to look into the Financial records of Yuguda's administration.

He says the report of the panel will be submitted to him in the coming weeks.

"Your drones won't stop us" - Niger Delta Avengers threaten to destroy Nigeria’s economy

In a statement released on Tuesday by Niger Delta Avengers spokesperson, Brig. Gen Mudoch Agbinibo, the militants allege that the dialogue being initiated by the Federal government with their group, is nothing but a delay tactic for an impending attack against them. They have now issued a warning to the government, threatening to destroy the country's economy. The statement read,
