One of the survivors of the Train/motor vehicle crash on Ibadan-Abeokuta road, shares his testimony

Four days ago, a train badly crashed with A DAF truck and Toyota Camry on Ibadan - Abeokuta road.(Read  here). However, FRSC reported that no casualties were recorded. A survivor of the accident, Olagunju Ezekiel, has now confirmed this by sharing his testimony. He took to his Facebook page to share photos of his damaged car and wrote;

Family plans classy first year remembrance for Oba Okunade Sijuwade

The first year Remembrance of His Imperial Majesty, Oba Okunade Sijuwade, Olubuse II, the 50th Ooni of Ife, has been fixed to hold next week. The two-day event will kick off on Thursday, 28 July, 2016, with a Thanksgiving Service at St. Paul's Anglican Church, Ayegbaju, Ife.

This will then be followed by a grand reception at the Castle of Mercy, Ede Road, Ile-Ife. The following day, Friday. 29 July, a Colloquium, titled, “The Life and Times of Oba Okunade Sijuwade, Olubuse II, The 50th Ooni of Ife, will be hosted by The Institute of Cultural Studies, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, at Oduduwa Hall, OAU.

Photos: Young female doctor killed in a fatal accident in Abia Sate

This beautiful young doctor identified as Dr. Nneoma Uhuegbu died in a fatal accident around Umuikaa on her way to Umuahia from Aba last night. She was on her way to Umuahia to collect her induction gown as a fresh medical doctor. Her induction is on the 28 at ABSU. According to reports, 12 passengers and driver involved in the accident survived except for her. This is so sad! May her soul rest in peace. Amen! Ambassadorial nominees fail to recite National Anthem correctly

Two ministerial nominees failed to recite the National anthem and pledge properly. The nominees, Ibrahim Isa from Niger state and Vivian Nwunaku Okeke from Anambra state mixed up the National Anthem and pledge when the chairman of the senate committee on Foreign Affairs, Monsurat Sunmonu asked them to recite it at the senate's screening exercise for the 47 ministerial nominees today July 26th. Alleged Budget padding: Abdulmumin Jibrin replies Dogara, House of Reps

Embattled former chairman of the House of Representatives House Committee on Appropriation, Abdulmumin Jibrin, has released a statement reacting to the allegations leveled against him by the House of Representatives. The house through its spokesperson Abdulrazak Namdas, today accused Jibrin of engaging in fraudulent activities while he oversaw the appropriation committee. Jibrin on his facebook page this evening released a statement replying the House members. Read the statement below:

Sacked Chairman of Appropriation committee, Abdulmumin Jibrin, was fraudulent- Dogara says

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara has reacted to the corruption allegations leveled against him and three other principal officers of the house by the sacked chairman of the House Appropriation committee, Abdulmumin Jibrin. The sacked chairman has in the last few days released statements alleging that Dogara and the other principal officers were engaged in over N40 billion budget padding.
