Reports claim that the Belarusian president, had the worst ‘slip of the tongue’ while delivering his speech on new technology.
However, citizens of the country have taken it to another level as they are are posting pictures and videos of themselves naked at work.
During his speech on new technology, President Lukashenko said:
“Innovations, IT-technologies, privatisation – it is all clear. We’ve conquered all of them. But everything is very simply, one should get undressed and work.”
Obviously, undress and work was a way of telling them to ‘develop themselves’ but it is too late as the citizens have taken to social media with the hashtags #getnakedandgotowork, #раздеватьсяиработать and #getnakedandwork to showcase dozen photos of themselves naked at their workplace: be it at a desk, behind an industrial oven in a restaurant kitchen or even on a construction site. This tongue-in-cheek campaign was launched on Friday, June 24 (the day after the president’s words).
